So, tonight is the Trunk or Treat at our church which means that tonight is the night when the sugar high begins, and that lasts until all the candy is gone … some time in the New Year. You know how it goes, Halloween officially marks the beginning of the sugar season. We go right from trick or treating into Thanksgiving pies, and then it’s time for Christmas cookies.
So, to give your digestive systems (and your teeth) a break from all the junk food, we thought we’d bring you a healthy snacking alternative that the kids will still love.
Today we’re working with Nature Box and we came up with a yogurt dip that pairs perfectly with all of their bite sized offerings. If you haven’t heard of Nature Box before, they’re a monthly service that delivers a world of carefully sourced and nutritionist-approved foods right to your door. Every month you can pick 5 different snacks, or you can be surprised and let Nature Box pick for you. Each snack contains wholesome ingredients – with no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors, zero grams trans fats, and no high fructose corn syrup. You can learn more about their Product Promise here.
The dip we made is a perfect pairing for the snacks. My personal favorite were the Lemon Tea Biscuits, and my kids were pretty partial to the Apple Pie Oat Clusters and the Fuji Apples – check out their full line up of snacks! The other great thing about the Nature Box snacks is that they’re the perfect size for little hands. When we made the dip, we gave each child their own serving cup, and then there were no worries about double dipping, or little (straight from school, marker covered) fingers!
Amanda turned the dip cups into little jack-o-lanterns by adding a little washi tape to the plastic cups … it’s the little things that make everything the most special!
