Looking for a cute but simple theme for your children’s Valentines party? Well, look no more! This Sweet Shop theme is easy to create with things you already own and lots of fun for your kids. We used Amanda’s chalkboard wall but if you don’t have one at your home you can create the exact same look using black photopaper, wrapping paper or bulletin board paper from the craft store and a chalk pen. We gathered up glass jars we had on-hand and filled them with all the pink candy we could find!
What makes takes this backdrop from just a chalkboard wall to something special for a party adding some depth to the backdrop by hanging some real elements along with your chalk drawings. Amanda cut and glittered a heart with the sweet shop title and we added a banner of pom poms. Throw a little confetti on the table and there you have it! An adorable backdrop for a sweet party of your own.
Our little guests were invited to decorate a cookie at the sweet table. To make it simple, and keep it relatively clean, put the cookie frosting in condiment squeeze bottles and the sprinkles and decorations in home made shaker jars that double as favors. Look for the cookie and frosting recipes tomorrow and the favors on Friday!
Hosting an impromptu Valentine party doesn’t have to be stressful or elaborate! By sharing the planning and prep with friends, keeping things simple and combining elements we had on hand with a little creativity we created a sweet memory with our sweethearts! Have you hosted a Valentine party for kids? We’d love to hear about it!
So cute..but now I am really craving sugar and a cute boy with frosting on his face to cuddle.
Super cute!
I love those jars!
Love it all – especially the chalkboard background with the pom-pom garland. So sweet!
I am smiling ear to ear at the precious photograph of your little boy! What a fun party!
