We have a little bonus post for you today! The San Antonio Book Festival is coming up on April 2. This year, Matt Lewis, the author of Baked Occasions will be there. I received a copy of Baked Occasions, and I’ve been drooling over it ever since. In fact, I even tackled one of my baking fears: the jelly roll. The book is set up in a calendar format, so it’s easy to search through to find new recipes. It also celebrates the random holidays that I love. There is even a recipe to celebrate Groundhog Day! Matt Lewis is the owner of Baked Bakery in New York City. I’m running the Brooklyn Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in the Fall, and I think I know where I’m stopping for my after race reward!
The Book Festival is free of charge, and it’s a fun Saturday full of readings, panels and cooking demonstrations (hint hint). This is an event for the whole family. There will also be educational demonstrations and food trucks! Not that food trucks have anything to do with reading, but I feel like they’re a pretty important part of the day! If you’re interested, you can check out the full schedule here.
As a bonus for our readers, the San Antonio Book Festival is generously giving two copies of Baked Occasions to two of our readers. Just enter below.
