It’s been a while since we shared a new project life page – here’s two from my 2013 album – that use elements from the Sunshine Edition core kit and little else.
Vivi loves to paint at school – but it’s a real treat to paint at home. She makes the biggest messes and ends up painting more body (bottom left picture) than paper. Nonetheless, it’s hilarious to watch her get so serious about her watercolors. The left page is an 8 1/2 x 11 pocket. I trimmed the watercolor paper to fit.
Fiesta has started in San Antonio! Our city is one giant party-for-a-cause for a month and my favorite event is the King William Festival & Parade. Cascarones (egg shells filled with confetti) are a big part of the celebration and Vivi was enamored with them last year. I can’t wait to see how she reacts this year! To capture that “confetti-in-your-hair” feeling, I sprinkled a little confetti into every single one of the pockets on these two pages. Viva Fiesta!
ps – I’m working SO hard to photograph my pages without glare – it’s SO hard! I promise to keep practicing!
Love the confetti!
How do you keep your confetti from falling out of the pockets?
A few pieces have escaped but generally my albums stay upright and it hasn’t been a problem. If I was making this layout today, I’d probably use a heat selling tool to seal the pocket.
Oh ok, ya, I was looking at the fuse tool, wish Stampin’Up would start selling them since its a Priject Life item 😉
I did find a tip, using our 4×6 cellophane bags, I’ll need to try it!
Thanks for the reply & have a great week!
