Today we’re welcoming Sada (find her blogging at Casa Lewis) to CampHMM – we’re so glad she’s sharing her project with us! Sarah and I admired Sada’s beaded necklace at a blogger’s event in town and when she told us she’d made it we were blown away! It looks like it’s off the rack from Anthro! This is a project that you’ll want to do as soon as possible. These plain wood beads are turned into a fashion statement – or just a creative statement – with pretty paint colors. Taping the beads also gives little fingers something to hold on to! -ARG
Hello lovely Handmade Mood readers! I am so delighted to be sharing a project on this beautiful blog today. Today I am going to share with you a simple and fun DIY necklace. What I love about this project is that you can totally make it your own by changing the colors or paint design. And I love that it is easy enough that your littles can join in on the fun too! Let’s get started with the materials you will need for this project.
Materials: Wooden Beads | Necklace Cording | Paint | Painters Tape | Paint Brush
First, tape off each bead with painters tape. Make sure you pay attention to where the hole in the bead is so that your design lines up how you want it to. Side note: you can definitely free hand this project, I am just a dork and didn’t trust that I could paint straight lines! Using painters tape may also help little ones to stay in the lines.
Next, pick your paint colors and start painting!
Yay Sada! This necklace is adorable, I’m not crafty at all but I think I could do this!
Very cute & simple idea. I’ll have to try it out. Great look Sada!
Love how easy it looks to get that clean, sharp paint line with the tape. I’ll have to remember that.
