I don’t know about you, but whenever anyone asks me what I’d like for a gift, I draw a blank (Just ask my dad, he’s still waiting for me to tell him what I want for my birthday…last August!). I see things I like all the time, and I even have an Amazon Wishlist, but I can never think of it when I need it! Here’s the other thing, I’m the easiest person in the world to buy a present for. I love everything! It really has nothing to do with how much money you spend; it has to do with the fact that you were thinking about someone. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a few gift ideas that we think most moms would love on Mother’s Day.
Feel free to add some of these to Amanda’s Printable from yesterday, or just bookmark this site and send your husband over on Saturday before he does his shopping (wait, is mine the only husband who shops the day before Mother’s Day?!). Just keep in mind that there are a lot of expectations surrounding Mother’s Day. It’s impossible for someone to buy a gift that shows how much their mother or the mother of their children means to them. You can’t buy that in a store. So as moms, we need to manage our expectations. Every husband is different. It does no good to compare what other husbands do for their wives. Just appreciate the gesture, and know that he loves you and all that you do. That being said, if there’s something you want, be that breakfast in bed, a child free afternoon, or brunch at a fancy hotel, you have to tell him; he’s not a mind reader

p.s. If you’re local to San Antonio, you can buy a Mommy and Me Petite Session with Amanda. Moms rarely get in the photo with their kids, so this is a perfect way to show her how much you love her. It might also be a fun gift for you to give your mom. How many pictures do you have with your mom now that you’re a grown up?
*Disclaimer for the gift buyer: Remember that these are just ideas, you know the recipient better than us. If the mom in your life doesn’t like to cook, don’t buy her a fancy pot. Similarly, if hasn’t yet tried yoga, Mother’s day may not be the best time to buy her workout clothes to get her to start!! Mother’s Day is the time to buy a fun treat that she wouldn’t buy for herself (that doesn’t mean lingerie!!)! Most of these gifts are available on Amazon, which means that you can get overnight shipping and have it wrapped, and no one will be the wiser!!
#5 stopped me in my tracks! Love my Canon 6D (learning how to use that sucker!)
Great collection of gifts! I’d love one of each! Happy Mother’s Day!!!
I worked for Hallmark for six years: the Saturday before Mother’s Day is the SINGLE BIGGEST sales day of the year (other holidays are typically spread out). PSA: Don’t wait until Saturday to buy your card!
