These giant paper-mache eggs called to me at Hobby Lobby. Literally. I could hear them. Then they begged for some pretty flat paint and a gold foil monogram…. because nothing says “Happy Easter” like a gold foil monogram, right?
But really, I do love the way these turned out. You could make a set with each family member’s name or monogram, spell out a family or holiday word, or cover them in cute gold foil animal silhouettes.
I just cut the letters and bunny on my Silhouette Cameo using the Silhouette gold foil. The font is ‘Asterism’ and I used this tutorial to make the font a little wider so it would cut well. This is a perfect project to use a thin script font because it makes it easier to wrap the letters around the curvy egg.
The pompom trim is from Paper Mart and adds such a fun texture and detail. These are so easy to make, I might go overboard!
