Merry Christmas to Handmade Mood! We just put the finishing touches on the walls and floors of our new studio space and now comes the very best part – furnishing, styling and making it our own. We have an eclectic mix of ideas for the space – but we know we want it to be full of personality and stories – which means incorporating pieces that speak to us and have history – not just outta the box new pieces. We love the vintage furniture collection at Chairish to help us narrow down our search.
We know we’ll have three main spaces – an entry, a big table for working/crafting and some wide open space for shooting (blog content and for our portrait/commercial photography businesses) and parties. I’m not the *best* at coming up with style boards but I found so many amazing pieces at Charish.com that I loved that I thought I’d see how it all looked together. The gray French table, blue velvet chair, abstract floral and black writing desk are totally a nod to my feminine and whimsical side. The brass globe, neutral but not boring rug and black ghost chairs feel like anchors that we could mix and match in the future with so many styles. I couldn’t NOT include some industrial pieces (the lighting choices and bar cart) because I love the clean lines and practicality. And that pink chair. I just. I mean. It’s *MY* pink. So, duh.
