Everyone loves hot chocolate, right? It can’t just be me. Milk and chocolatey goodness topped with a dollop of whipped cream (Ever since Amanda used dollop in the blueberry pie video, not to be confused with the Cherry Pie video, I’ve vowed to use the word more often!), what could be better? Here in south Texas there are only a few weeks during the year where you need a hot chocolate to warm up, but just because it’s Summer doesn’t mean we have to avoid hot chocolate altogether, it just means we need to cool it off! Who remembers the movie Serendipity where John Cusack and the gorgeous British actress who’s name escapes me right now Kate Beckinsale fall in love over frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity in New York City? Does it date me that I saw that movie at the theater when I was in college?! Well, if you’re looking to fall in love, or just for a delicious way to cool off, we have the recipe for you!
I made this as hot chocolate and then put it in the Vita-Mix with ice, but all my kids pointed out that I could have made chocolate milk and done the same thing. It’s up to you if you want to add the extra step. I just can’t in good conscience call it frozen hot chocolate if it wasn’t hot chocolate to begin with!

Instructions:
- Combine milk and hot chocolate powder in cook over medium low heat. You can also use the microwave, but I’m old school!

Oh I wish I was 23 again! If I ate/ drank this I would gain 5 pounds!
Photo is great!
This looks and sounds AMAZING. Can’t wait to sip some.
Um, that looks incredible!
And I was college-age when Serendipity came out…I watched it on an overseas flight to visit my sister in Prague. I still watch it every Christmas, just for fun.
That looks really good! Pinned.
It sounds delicious.but i have a Q what’s the hot chocolate powder brand? If by some chance, i don’t find it, how much should i put in weight(g)?
Thanks!
I just use a Swiss Miss packet, but if you’re measuring I would use 1 oz of hot chocolate powder.
