This week we are talking all about grocery shopping and meal planning, both of which seem to surprise me each week with their difficulty. I’m not exactly sure what is so daunting about it, but there I am, Monday morning, empty paper in hand, just waiting for me to make a grocery plan for the week and it’s like I forget every meal I’ve ever made.
Then, once I figure out what we are going to do for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, (remember our lunch idea post?) I feel like I take forever translating the ingredient list into an actual shopping list.
So, I finally sat down and formatted a grocery shopping list that not only helps me save time but is pretty; because, really, if we are going to have to do something over and over in our lives then it should at the very least be pretty to look at, right?
With space at the top to write out the basic dinner meal plan for the week, just fill in the items under each of their categories that you need for those meals. Then be sure to jot down what sides you’ll want to serve and any other special items you need. You could print this two to a sheet, or even two-up, front and back for a month’s worth of lists. If you write big (Hi. I write HUGE! -ARG) then print one a week. You could even slide it in a protective sheet or laminate it for reuse. However you decide to use it, we hope it helps you get organized and enjoy meal planning just a little bit more!

So cute Candice! We should have these made into tablets and sell them. What do you think?
That would be SO cool! It would be HMM first “thing” we could sell! What a fantastic idea, Kim!
