Our last day of school is next week. We end a little early up here, so I’m feeling a little unprepared with my teachers’ gifts this year. This year we have 10 teachers that we’re saying thank you to. They’re not all getting the same thing; some spend more time with my kids, or have really made a huge impact. Others have been a huge help to me, personally. Also, for the first time ever, one of my kids has a male teacher, which means my go to of a nice candle or lotion might not be as appreciated!
One of my ideas for this year is to take teacher staples, and kick them up a notch. I thought some of the Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils in Tranquil (because, let’s be honest, teachers can use all the tranquility they can get!), along with a grown up coloring book would be fun. This set of pencils comes with a sharpener and an eraser. These are totally deluxe, and hopefully our teachers will see them as a special treat. I am not kidding when I say that these are as smooth as butter. I’m not sure if that’s something that you say about pencils, but they’re amazing! The brush markers are also wonderful, and I’ve never heard a teacher complain about having too many supplies! I also included some delicious chocolate (a bonus of Alaska living is that it’ always chocolate weather. No fear of melting up here!) and hand lotion because it can’t all be about the supplies!
Whatever you do, don’t forget the thank you note. I’m a big believer in having my kids write their own notes. I’m always surprised by what they think to say thank you for!
