Easter Gifts for Grown-Up Kids

This post is written in partnership with H-E-B for compensation. All ideas and opinions are my own.

Maybe its a southern thing – but Easter around here is a big, extended family kind of celebration. From staking claim to a spot in the park for a picnic or cook-out to big formal family dinners, I love how family-centric Easter is. This love may or may not also have to do with a fun little tradition in my immediate family. The Easter Bunny visits the little kids – but she also leaves a little something for all the grown-up kids, too. Nothing extravagant, just a little something the “easter bunny” picked up while she was at HEB shopping for Easter dinner.

First on the list — Easter basket stuffing, chocolate bunnies and cascarones. The shredded filler makes it feel like a basket from childhood. The tiny Lindt Chocolate Bunnies are a grown-up way to indulge in an Easter institution and the cascarones — well — what better way to incite a little after dinner fun with siblings?

What else can be included? Almost everything included in the three ‘baskets’ is either useable or use-uppable. Practical additions to a home or things that can be used and enjoyed. A ceramic egg tray makes a nice container and looks adorable in the fridge. Fill it with a pair of earrings (perfect for Fiesta), lip balm, and nail polish et voila! Perfect for a daughter, a sister, a growing-up granddaughter or even for a friend.

Although there is no need to go theme-y, sometimes it is nice to have a holiday specific piece or two. Add to the hostess with the mostess’ collection with a sweet Easter bunny pitcher. The clean white relief makes it compatible with lots of decor and appealing to lots of tastes.

A robin’s egg blue silicon spoon and a lightly scented candle round out this gift very nicely.

We’re gearing up for summer weather and bar b que – and some new tools and a cool KODI insulated cup are sure to hit the right notes. An easy to use vacuum sealer for wine is a fun addition to any of the ‘baskets’.

All of the items listed are from HEB – which makes adding this to your Easter to-do list an easy decision. The Easter Bunny doesn’t just have to focus on the little kids – the big “kids” in the family can get in on the fun, too! Don’t forget about hostess gifts, spring birthdays and “just because” presents, too!
