Every year I see those clear glass ornaments and I dream of what to put inside them – and this year Candice finally made my ornament stuffing dreams come to life! While painting the black and white Kate Spade inspired ornaments, we tossed around different ideas of what would look visually interesting and beautiful in the ornaments.
I tend to be all over the place – but Candice suggested a gold color scheme – and I love the different textures and tones that we gathered from things that were already in our crafting supplies and wrapping kits:
Some skinny burnished gold tinsel garland in this one.
Baby yellow gold pom poms.
Chunky gold mylar confetti on the bottom left and a trimmed piece of glittered wreath embellishment.
A length of bow garland on skinny wire (gently guided into a pretty nest).
All together combines to make a chic and shiny addition to our Christmas trees using an inexpensive box of ornaments and little gold baubles we had on hand. You could create any color scheme to add to the colors you decorate with! Also, please be extremely careful when adding things into glass ornaments. We encountered a few sharp edges once the toppers came off and the glass is thin and fragile. We recommend holding the ornament with a towel or work glove to avoid any potential mishaps! The toppers of these would be stunning with a little gold Rub-N-Buff (which we particularly love for the no-dry-time and instant coverage) or paint added!
