I’m back over with my friend Tori with another At Home team post – this time tackling my laundry room! You’ll have to pop over there to see the resources and more pictures — but here’s the nitty gritty — the BEFORE shots!
This was the first room I painted and finished when we moved into our home about 8 years ago. It got a cheery pear green paint, funky cabinets and some functionality (like the chicken feeders for laundry pods).
But it just wasn’t really working for us anymore. Our tastes have changed, the needs of our family have changed, and holy moly were those cabinets under utilized! Not to mention the piles of junk that fell out of them every time I ventured into one!
So in one weekend with a pretty small budget, I updated our laundry room into a clean, clutter free, and dare I say, pleasant, place to be! The laundry room also serves as our pantry (behind me in all of these pictures) and access to the pool area of the backyard – so we’re in and through it often!
The cabinets came down, everything got a coat of white paint (Benjamin Moore White Dove – my faaaaaavorite!), and a major purge happened!
My two favorite additions are the copper wire baskets (found at At Home) and the new laundry hang-to-dry-rack that I found on Amazon. The description says “taupe” — but it’s a lovely gray color IRL.
