I have 2,597 images on my phone and at least a third of those are of Vivi, a handful or those are screenshots labels and tags of things I want to remember and the rest are from events – because who doesn’t take pics with their phone at events? It’s only on occasion that I bring my BGC (big girl camera) with me to parties, friend’s houses, or spontaneous family outings because, lets be honest, it’s kind of a pain to tote around (and then I never get them to the computer, edit them or share them!). The majority of my photos are taken on my phone but short of putting them on social media or texting each individual person the pictures, I felt like there wasn’t a great way to share all of the images.
Then, I found Seahorse. It’s a great new app ( on iPhone and Android!) that lets you and whoever else is invited to a “scene” share your images together. It’s that cute purple one with the white seahorse up there! Huge group shot from a birthday party? Now everyone can have it, safely stored, and available on the phone AND computer.
No matter what the event, nor how many people are there, it’s an organized way to gather and collect photos and video. You can search in the archives of your Seahorse scenes by date, location or friend’s name which makes it SO easy to pull up pics later.
I also particularly love that it’s compatible with your pictures on your desktop or laptop, too. I uploaded some from our Witches Brew party from my BGC and added them to the pictures we took on our phones and our guests’ pictures.
Now, all of the “party pics” are available to everyone who joined the scene from the party…
And YAY! For those of you who are super picture junkies, Seahorse is offering an extra 5GB of storage by entering the promo code: CLEVERHORSE. This promo code is good until October 31, 2014, and each user can only use it once.
It’s super easy to redeem:
