Every Spring and Fall in the tiny, but amazing, town of Round Top, Texas, a huge explosion of antiques shows takes place. My personal favorite for seeing design trends is Marburger Farm. As you walk though the tents and look at each booth the trends begin to reveal themselves. Some items are so repetitive you almost wonder if the vendors got together in a large meeting months before to decide what they all wanted to carry. So as with the last few shows, I thought it would be really fun to keep a little tally of what we saw a lot of and what was trending at the show. This year I got to bring Sarah and Amanda (it was Amanda’s first time and she’s been a Texan all her life!) We all kept notes and these are the trends we all felt like where the strongest of the show.
1. Numbers are the new letters:
In years past Marquee letters have been everywhere, but this year they were few and far between. We noticed a ton of numbered items this show though.
