While Candice and Amanda are still coming down for their post-Alt Summit high, I thought I’d tell you a little about our handouts. If you follow along with Alt Summit while it’s happening, or any other blogging conference, then you know the importance of making an impression. The impression that you make is especially important during a creative conference. There are lots of people at these events, and if you want to make sincere connections with them, then you need to stand out.
This was the third time that Handmade Mood has been at Alt, and we’ve done fun handouts at the last two, and when Candice went to her first Alt she had an amazing business card that everyone talked about!
For this past Alt Summit we tried to think of something trendy and useful so that it didn’t just end up in the trash when people were packing up to go home! If you’ve been following us for any length of time then you know that it’s not just what’s inside that counts; the packaging is also hugely important to us!
We decided to go with personalized pencils in fun colors, and then we packaged them in clear tubes with gold ends from Paper Mart. These are the same types of tubes that we used in our Easter Happy Mail project, but these ones were 3/4″ in diameter and 8″ long. The perfect size to fit three pencils!
We are so grateful to Paper Mart for always being so willing to help us out when we come to them with an idea! They generously provided the tubes so that we could have the cutest giveaway at Alt! (I might be biased, but I’m still right!!).
