Magic happens when you mix a vintage letterpress, beautiful paper, talented designers and two people with a passion for handcrafted, sustainable and beautiful craftsmanship – around here, we call that magic Paper Bandit Press.
Kim and Brett Borup found, moved and refurbished their two vintage letterpresses (a Vandercook proof press and a Heidelberg windmill platen press) and cut paper by hand using an old 26″ Chandler & Price paper cutter. The character of these vintage machines and their handcrafted care makes these paper products more than just a card – they are each a unique gift.
Their talented designers dream up modern, cheeky and hilarious card designs and sayings that are as fun to give as they are to get!
Based in Provo, Utah, the Borups had an incredible challenge getting the presses from California into their basement studio. You can see pictures of the process on the Paper Bandit Press blog.
Paper Bandit Press also offers wholesale and custom work – perfect if you’ve been itching for letter press business cards or can’t find the perfect wedding or event invitation.
You can find Paper Bandit Press on Facebook, Etsy, and Instagram in addition to their website. I love following them on IG to see all of the behind the scenes work and sneak peeks of ards that will hit the shop and custom work they do – it’s like the best kind of snooping!
