It’s always such a relief when I figure out a meaningful, stylish, and inexpensive gift for Father’s Day that isn’t going to get relegated to a drawer! Inspired by an uber pricey version of this calendar online, when I saw this half sized clipboard at le HobLob I knew just what to do with it! A desktop reference calendar that features a certain Dad’s favorite person (or people!). This is the perfect gift for siblings to collaborate on and is completely (and independently!) do-able for all kids about 7 and up.
The small clip board is from the paper crafting section of Hobby Lobby, though I’m sure you could find a similar one in many different stores. You’ll also need the calendar printable (link at the bottom of this post) which is best printed on card stock , scissors or a paper trimmer, double stick or washi tape and 12 4×4 prints. We love Persnickety Prints but I was in a bit of a hurry so I printed from my phone to Walgreens – who now quick prints 4×4’s!
Cut the calendar pages in half and trim the bottoms and sides if needed. I took about an inch off the bottom of mine. The set I printed for this post has a black box to hold the place of the print – but the downloadable set has a light grey box – no ink wasteage! Using double stick tape, attach the image to the calendar page.
Repeat 11 more times and VOILA! A fabulous Father’s Day gift that is inexpensive and perfect for dad’s desk.
If the dad receiving this is stylish and doesn’t mind a little embellishment attach the images with some fun washi tape. There are so many varieties out there, I’m sure there is one right for the lucky guy who will look at this every day.
