Next up in our Christmas traditions post is Haeley, the creative genius behind Design Improvised. We love Haeley and her amazing decorating style and all her fun how to’s (she’s a genius with balloons!). The best part about Haeley is that she’s even kinder and more generous than she seems on her blog. She’s always willing to help, and she’s a perfect party guest! I’m sometimes guilty of not always looking on the bright side, but Haeley always sees the best in people and situations.
One of my best Christmas memories from growing up was spending time in the kitchen with my sister and mom baking up a storm. Cut-out sugar cookies from my mom’s old 4-H Cookbook were our specialty. For a solid two days our kitchen counter would be covered in flour dust and frosting drippings as we made every Christmas shape imaginable and carefully decorated each one with our variety of colored frostings and sprinkles. As my sister and I got older, my mom let us have free reign of the kitchen and it was so fun getting to do the planning and baking by ourselves.
