We loved guest posting on Pizzazzerie this Fall, and we knew that we wanted Courtney to participate in our Christmas Traditions week. Courtney has an amazing blog, and she’s living my dream of being a published cookbook author! This is Courtney’s first Christmas with her baby girl (#babypizzazzerie), and we knew she’d have some wonderful new traditions in store. This goes to show that you can make a new tradition whenever you want!
Christmas traditions have always been very important to me. My Mom always had a little Christmas tree in my room as a child so it’s a special tradition I wanted to continue with my own daughter for her first Christmas this year! Last Christmas, my husband and I opened a special “gender reveal” present on Christmas morning that – much to our surprise – revealed lots of pink tissue (we were having a girl!!!) so I’ve been embracing baby pink since last year.
Blakely’s tree is decked out in all pink sparkly ornaments with baby pink bows throughout. Little white lights glisten in the evenings when we read special holiday books together. I know it will be a sweet tradition to continue, especially as she begins collecting and making her own ornaments for the tree. I look forward to may years of reading books by this special little tree, and I hope one day she’ll pass it on to her children!
